A few days ago I was invited to receive the award of best lecturer in the BSc in Biomedicine programme. This was an initiative by the graduating students who had themselves selected one lecturer and one teaching assistant from their three-year programme.

I also had the opportunity to attend the final presentations of their thesis projects, and it was super impressing to see what they had done. Very inspiring to think that they had to switch to online teaching shortly after my course in their first year, and that they anyway managed to do so well in their studies that they could now present research projects on topics as diverse as epidemiology, exercise physiology and structural biology.
